With over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, Kim's journey began after giving birth when she discovered the transformative benefits of Pilates. This inspired her to leave her role as a licensed physical therapy assistant at St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson and pursue her true passion as a Pilates instructor.
Kim earned her classical Pilates certification from Power Pilates, studying under renowned experts Susan Moran-Perich and Bob Liekens. She has since accumulated over 4,000 hours of training, blending techniques from Pilates, Yoga, SOMA, FEET-Ness, and ELDOA to create a unique teaching style that focuses on individualized attention for each student. Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her more than 1,000 hours of ongoing education.
Kim’s fascination with anatomy led her to further her expertise, earning her certification as an ELDOA 4 trainer in October 2023. ELDOA, a method aimed at spinal decompression, helps to lengthen and decompress the spine, improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and enhance posture by targeting myofascial chains and promoting better spinal alignment and joint space.
Her dedication to deepening her understanding of body alignment and functional movement is evident in her training in Soma, where she continues to expand her anatomical knowledge and refine her methods. Kim also became a certified Feet-ness instructor, focusing on strengthening the feet—key to proper body alignment—through exercises that support posture and stability.
With a lifelong passion for anatomy and a drive to enhance the physical well-being of others, Kim combines her extensive knowledge and diverse skill set to guide her students toward improved health and functional movement.v
