For years, I was searching for answers the traditional medical model couldn’t provide—not just for my clients, but for myself. I was living with a chronic issue that no one could seem to help me with. I was in pain, frustrated, and desperate. It became clear that the conventional system, though helpful in some ways, wasn’t built to solve every problem. I needed to understand the deeper “why”—and I knew I wasn't alone.
After working in a hospital as a Physical Therapist Assistant, I saw firsthand how many people were left in limbo after insurance ended their therapy. They were still struggling, still needing guidance, movement, and healing—but there was nowhere for them to go. That realization shifted everything for me.
My journey began over 35 years ago in the fitness industry, and evolved into two comprehensive Pilates certifications, which I've now taught for over 20 years. My curiosity and desire to help clients on a deeper level led me to study the Feet-ness program, Soma Training, and ELDOA. Each step gave me more tools, but I kept asking: “How can I go deeper?”
That question brought me to Applied Neurology—a practice that addresses the nervous system directly to create lasting change in how people move and feel. For the first time, I started to understand the root causes behind chronic pain, poor movement patterns, and why some clients just couldn’t “push through” like the standard fitness or rehab models expected them to.
