Kim's Power of Movement

Who am I?

With over three decades of experience in the fitness industry, Kim brings a profound knowledge of human movement and a deep passion for whole-body wellness to every session. Her journey into Pilates began after the birth of her child, when she experienced its transformative effects firsthand. Inspired by the impact it had on her own body, Kim made the courageous decision to leave her position as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson to pursue her true calling as a Pilates instructor.

Kim received her classical Pilates certification through Power Pilates, training under esteemed instructors Susan Moran-Perich and Bob Liekens. She further advanced her education by completing the intensive 600-hour bridge program at Authentic Pilates in Mahwah, amassing over 4,000 hours of training. Her teaching style blends classical Pilates principles with complementary modalities including Soma Training, FEET-Ness, ELDOA, Yoga, and Applied Neurology—offering a personalized, integrative approach that emphasizes functional movement and individualized attention.

Fueling her work is a lifelong fascination with anatomy and biomechanics. In October 2023, Kim became an ELDOA 4-certified trainer. ELDOA (Étirements Longitudinaux avec Décoaptation Ostéo-Articulaire) uses targeted postures to decompress the spine, expand joint space, lengthen fascial chains, and enhance mobility, posture, and overall well-being.

Kim is also actively pursuing Soma Training, a discipline that deepens her understanding of body alignment, organ health, and the intricate relationships within human biomechanics. Her dedication to continued learning and anatomical precision has made her a trusted resource for clients seeking lasting, intelligent movement solutions.

As a certified FEET-Ness instructor, Kim places strong emphasis on the often-overlooked importance of foot function. She teaches specific exercises to build foot strength and improve alignment—laying the foundation for better posture, balance, and total-body stability.

Kim’s most recent area of study is Applied Neurology, a cutting-edge approach that leverages the nervous system to improve movement, reduce pain, and enhance performance. By incorporating visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive drills into her Pilates and ELDOA sessions, she helps rewire the brain-body connection—boosting motor control, calming the nervous system, and accelerating results.

Whether your goals are to improve posture, relieve chronic pain, enhance athletic performance, or simply move with greater ease and confidence, Kim offers a holistic, brain-first approach that empowers you to move better, feel stronger, and thrive—inside and out.
